The children we work with are constantly outgrowing their clothes, sometimes being left with ill-fitting clothing, winter coats, and shoes. This leads to bullying from other children at school who are not in foster care. We make sure that the children we work with are not in need of clothing and we meet their needs whether it be through a couple shirts, a water bottle, jeans, pants, or a new winter coat.

Statistically, when a child enters foster care, they are found to be academically 6 months behind the other kids each time they are moved and placed into a new school due to lack of adult academic supervision. With our weekly tutors, we are attempting to build a more sustainable system to have more consistent tutors. We are providing funding for learning materials to make the child's learning easier and help them catch up to the peers their age in Mathematics, English, Science, and History. 

This ensures that each child will have a backpack, pencils, pens, markers, notebooks, and all other learning materials required to ensure their academic success as related to their other peers. This includes laptops and other electronics for online learning as well. 

Many of the children we work with have not been given the opportunity to experience eating out like other kids, we strive to take the children to new cuisine and have them order whatever they would like, giving them an experience every other child gets. 

This allows us to take out around 20 children to an educational and fun event (museum, college tour, shopping and learning how to budget, to a bookstore, STEM activities, etc.) so the children can feel a sense of autonomy and ownership of the items and their lives.
